It was preceded by intervention, in the Parliament, of the president of the “Hellenic Solution” Kyriakos Velopoulosfor “vague and undefined” project contract regarding the financial coverage of the contract, through an underground line, with the question of whether it is a low priority, which will be excluded from the CEF 2 European Fund.
Answering, Mr. Skalkos he mentioned that the financing mechanism to promote developmentthrough targeted infrastructure projects, supports High Performance Networkssustainable and effectively interconnected transport sectors and Greece’s request is judged by external EU evaluators before the CEF approves it, in July.
The “Rio-New Port of Patras” is included in the 6 total proposals of railway projects of Greek interest, approximately €916 million, of which ERGOSE requests €110,107,235.
«The CEF Facility is centrally managed, meaning there is no binding funding allocation.
