The Ministry of Justice has clarified the penalty for violating FIFA’s intellectual property rights in the FIFA World Cup, which Qatar will host as the first Arab and Middle Eastern country next November.
The Ministry of Justice confirmed in a video posted on its Twitter account that it is not permissible, without obtaining a license from FIFA, to use, record, produce, reproduce, imitate or modify any of the intellectual property rights of FIFA, including import, export, sale or return. Selling, offering for sale, distributing products or offering intellectual property rights, in accordance with Law No. 10 of 2021 regarding the arrangements for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Anyone who uses FIFA’s intellectual property rights without obtaining a license, in accordance with Law No. 10 of 2021 regarding the arrangements for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine of no more than 500,000 Qatari riyals, or one of these two penalties.#Justice_Qatar#legal_awareness#our_life_and the law pic.twitter.com/O7lLklLa6k

Anyone who uses FIFA’s intellectual property rights without obtaining a license shall be liable to imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine of no more than 500,000 Qatari riyals, or one of these two penalties.
