The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the impossibility of delivering Iranian cars to Russia

Deliveries of Iranian cars to Russia are impossible due to the lack of certification; corresponding requests to the Ministry of Industry and Trade did not come. This was reported to RIA Novosti in the press service of the ministry.

“One of the main conditions for the supply of imported cars, including from Iran, and their operation on the territory of the Russian Federation is the certification of the vehicle. To date, the cars of Iranian automakers are not certified, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has not received relevant requests,” the ministry said.

Last year, many foreign automobile concerns announced the termination of their activities in the territory of the Russian Federation due to the start of a special military operation. Due to the departure of foreign manufacturers and a strong increase in car prices, the Russian car market is forced to look for new options for consumers.

Avtotor told when the car market might return to pre-crisis levels. According to experts, this will happen only by 2028. If the pace of development slows down, recovery may take even longer.
