The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation announced that it has worked to expand the training offer related to the specializations of university institutions with limited recruitment, while increasing the number of seats open for competition to enter them in order to keep pace with the open national projects and respond to the needs of the economic and social sectors.
The ministry explained, in a statement, that the total number of seats open for competition in these institutions amounted to 56,075 seats in 83 institutions, adding that the number of nominations amounted to 670,545 nominations, of which 138,995 nominations were selected, while the number of attendees to take the exams amounted to 98,494 contestants.
As for the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, which number 13 institutions, 4,882 seats were opened for competition, while the number of nominations reached 109,698 nominations, of which 49,843 were selected, while the number of candidates present to take the exam reached 37,685 candidates.
As for the National Schools of Applied Sciences, the number of open seats reached 4,060 in 13 institutions, 87,741 students applied for the competition, and 30,382 candidates were selected, of whom 22,133 attended the exam. As for the number of open seats in the National Schools of Commerce and Management, which number 12 institutions, it reached 4,460 seats, and the number of nominations reached 106,639, of which 41,548 were selected, and 28,810 candidates attended the exam.
Regarding the National Higher Schools of Arts and Crafts (3 institutions), the number of open seats for the competition reached 1,030 seats, compared to 83,047 nominations, of which 17,222 were selected to pass the competition attended by 9,866 contestants. The number of seats in the Faculties of Science and Technology (8 institutions) reached 10,750 seats, compared to 129,808 nominations, and 12,800 seats in the Higher Schools of Technology (20 institutions) compared to 153,612 nominations. And 18,093 seats in the Bachelor’s and Education stream (14 institutions).
The same source indicated that with regard to the competitions open to students in preparatory classes, the number of open seats in engineering schools (44 institutions) reached 4,353 seats, compared to 5,209 nominations, of which 5,038 candidates attended, and 1,240 seats in management schools (14 institutions), of which 1,581 people submitted their nominations to compete for them, of which 1,361 attended to take the competition.
In this context, the Ministry confirmed that the national platform for post-baccalaureate guidance and registration www.cursussup.gov.ma has been adopted as the sole platform for submitting and managing applications, noting that the results of these competitions were announced from July 29 to August 5.
She pointed out that the relevant university institutions are currently registering students accepted in the basic lists, and the registration of candidates accepted in the waiting lists has been scheduled, according to each case, either during the month of August or at the beginning of next September, calling on the candidates concerned to access their spaces on the digital platform www.cursussup.gov.ma regularly, to confirm their acceptance and follow up on the registration proposals and review its various stages.
As for the faculties of science and technology and the higher schools of technology, which announced the selection results on August 4, registration in these institutions will begin on September 3 and 4. As for the Bachelor’s degree in education, the digital platform www.cursussup.gov.ma is still open for those wishing to enter this course to submit their applications. The oral exam will be held between September 9 and 14.
