He added that the program provides general clinical examination services, body mass index calculation, vision, oral and dental examinations, in addition to tests (measuring hemoglobin, lipids, cholesterol, kidney function, and random blood sugar analysis), in addition to conducting electrocardiograms and abdominal ultrasounds. Dr. Wael Abdel Razek added that the program includes providing health education and psychological support services to enhance the health of the elderly, and raise awareness of the health problems of the elderly and how to prevent them, as well as providing nutritional advice in terms of eating meals at specific times and the balanced nutritional content necessary for the health status.
He stressed that the program includes the delivery of a periodic follow-up card for the health status, with two visits per year for each patient, pointing out that in the event the patient needs to carry out advanced medical interventions, he is referred to specialized hospitals, pointing to the coordination between the “continuing health care program for the elderly” and the “100 million” initiatives.
