The Ministry of Health reduces the cost of PCR at the airport

The Ministry of Health announced the reduction of the cost of the mandatory PCR test for all arrivals upon their arrival at Beirut airport, starting next Monday, with the exception of children under 12 years old, so that it becomes thirty dollars instead of fifty.

The media office of the Ministry of Health indicated, in a statement, the necessity of registering arrivals on the electronic platform of the Ministry of Public Health for arrivals https://PASS.MOPH.GOV.LB, and paying the cost of the PCR test on the mentioned platform according to a new mechanism that adopts one of two options: A credit or an EMD electronic document obtained by passengers through payment at one of the approved travel and tourism offices or at the airline’s sales offices, provided that the passengers deliver the EMD receipt to representatives of the Ministry of Public Health upon their arrival at the airport.

The Ministry confirmed that its platform guarantees protection and security requirements for data confidentiality in accordance with international standards according to which continuous penetration tests and checks are conducted, and that personal data is encrypted and stored in a secure manner and cannot be accessed by the public, and is used only if the person concerned is infected with the virus or has been in contact with him. A positive case to contact him and give him the necessary directions in order to limit the spread of the epidemic.
