This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Health and Population’s plan to diversify and expand the provision of coronavirus vaccines, in order to preserve the gains of the Egyptian state in addressing the pandemic.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that this shipment will be subject to analyzes in the laboratories of the Egyptian Medicines Authority before being distributed to vaccination centers in all governorates of the Republic, pointing out that the “AstraZeneca” vaccine has approval for emergency use from the World Health Organization and the Egyptian Medicines Authority. It consists of two doses separated by 28 days.
“Abdul Ghaffar” indicated that Egypt was able in a short time to provide all the anti-Coronavirus vaccines, which included “Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Sputnik, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Moderna”, as part of the diversity and expansion plan in providing anti-Coronavirus vaccines.
