The Ministry of Health announces the reception of 2 million doses of the “modified Pfizer” vaccine against “Corona”

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that it had received 2 million and 4 thousand doses of the vaccine.Modified Pfizer» Anti-Coronavirus, at Cairo International Airport, through 4 shipments that arrived successively over the past week.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that these shipments were provided by 8 friendly countries (France, Sweden, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Latvia) through the COVAX mechanism, and in cooperation with the International Alliance for Vaccines and Vaccines (GAVI).

Abdel Ghaffar indicated that the “modified Pfizer” vaccine works effectively once morest mutants of the emerging corona virus, including Omicron, explaining that the vaccine will be given as a booster dose to those who received previous doses of different types of vaccines, within the framework of the state’s plan to diversify and expand the provision of anti-coronavirus vaccines, in order to preserve On the Egyptian state’s gains in dealing with the pandemic.

Abdul Ghaffar added that the shipments will be distributed to Vaccination centers spread in all governorates of the Republic, following completing the necessary analyzes at the Egyptian Medicines Authority, stressing that the “modified Pfizer” vaccine has obtained the approval of the World Health Organization and the Egyptian Medicines Authority.

And the Ministry of Health and Population affirms that the state spares no effort in providing vaccines to citizens “for free” in all governorates of the Republic, in addition to its constant keenness to reach citizens in remote regions and places and provide them with vaccines, in a way that contributes to preserving community immunity, calling on all citizens to register on the site.
