Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with the leaders of the Ministry of Health and the organizing company for the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development, to review the final preparations for holding the conference, as well as the scientific content presented at the conference.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the minister confirmed that the second edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development is of a special nature, after including the file of human development and building the Egyptian person, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to expand the topics of the sessions and discussions to include Topics on the human development file, with the participation of the Ministerial Group for Human Development, ministries, and parties concerned with the human development file, stressing that the population issue is a human development issue.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the minister stressed raising the level of preparation for the conference in a way that befits Egypt’s status among the countries of the world, while organizing visits for delegations participating in the conference to Egyptian health facilities, to learn about the health system, and also organizing visits to tourist and entertainment places, in cooperation with the Ministry. Tourism and antiquities.

Abdul Ghaffar added that the minister was briefed during the meeting on the technical presentation of the conference, as the second edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development will be held from October 21 to 25, under the slogan “Human Development for a Sustainable Future,” with the participation of all ministries and agencies. Governmental, foreign and international organizations, with the aim of achieving prosperity at the human level, investing in building human beings, promoting innovation, health, well-being and justice, building a resilient and sustainable future, and transforming knowledge into a tangible impact to empower individuals and societies.
Abdul Ghaffar continued that the expected number of participants in the conference is more than 30 thousand participants, and more than 40 scientific sessions, including 650 speakers and interlocutors, and more than 50 workshops, indicating that the minister was briefed on the main activities of the conference, including the scientific sessions that address the topics. related to human development, and conference talks that include various sessions on population, health and human development, and the Egyptian Fellowship training program, which includes scientific lectures for workers in the field of health, directing in this regard to obtain certificates accredited by the Egyptian Health Council for the activities of the Egyptian Fellowship at the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development. .

He added that the Minister reviewed the visual identity of the conference, stressing that the conference will include topics on investment in innovation, technology, health care, mental health, and the population and human development file, with the participation of a number of international bodies and the private sector through 148 Egyptian bodies and 7 foreign bodies. Abdul Ghaffar pointed out that the conference includes dialogue seminars on health issues, a special training program for ambassadors of the “Bedaya” presidential initiative, workshops to address issues related to the fields of health, women’s empowerment and religious discourse, an innovation center to present ideas, initiatives of civil society organizations and startup companies, and summaries. Research to share the scientific works of researchers, in addition to the exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference for partners, sponsors, and related service providers.
Abdel Ghaffar noted that the Minister reviewed a favorable presentation about the application for the conference’s medical insurance plan, which is related to medical service providers at the conference, and includes the personal data of conference participants, recording clinic visits, data of participants referred to hospitals, and recording data of ambulance services provided to participants. .
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the Minister reviewed the plan to receive delegations participating in the conference and the accommodation operations, directing in this regard to hold a special session on the impact of disputes and political conflicts on health systems and to invite the health ministers of countries suffering from political disputes and conflicts to attend the conference, to support the system. Health services in those countries, as well as holding sessions and discussions to discuss providing all means of health support to those countries.
