Ministry said the health And residents, the medical examination certificate for those wishing to marry, which the ministry issues, is provided free of charge to those intending to marry, which is considered one of the important documents for completing the marriage, adding: “Those intending to marry come to the examination centers to obtain the certificate, where those wishing to conduct the medical examination register their data.” Personal, sick history, if any, and if any of the parties suffers from any diseases.

The Ministry of Health and Population stated that laboratory examination procedures are carried out, such as measuring hemoglobin, random sugar analysis, blood group, and Rhesus factor, noting that the counseling process is carried out by a well-trained medical team, to provide advice and guidance to those intending to get married. It also includes analyzes of infectious diseases such as AIDS and Hepatitis C. and B virus.

The list of analyzes includes the level of hemoglobin in the blood, blood group, Rh compatibility analysis, and the analysis of Mediterranean anemia, Thalassemia.

The Ministry of Health and Population added that the advice includes talking regarding family planning, diseases that may be transmitted through the marital relationship, how to prevent them, protection and advice for pregnancy and childbirth.

And the ministry continued, that the health certificate is received, following the completion of the medical examinations that took place at the center for those who are regarding to get married, pointing out that the certificate is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of its issuance validity.

For his part, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, reassured those planning to get married regarding premarital examinations.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar added that the examinations of those who are regarding to get married include genetic examination, and this protects the child in the first place, because compatibility in the “rh” is required and its non-occurrence between the blood of the mother and the child causes severe problems, so we seek to conduct medical examinations for those intending to marry, and clarify the importance of examinations and include New analyzes for it, to increase the degree of safety and create a generation of children free from diseases.

Sources at the Ministry of Health and Population revealed that 303 medical centers have been allocated nationwide to conduct medical examinations for those regarding to get married, provided that their number will be increased during the next stage.
