The Ministry of Education approved a new school curriculum with military training lessons

The Ministry of Education issued orderapproving the school education program, which included basic military training in the framework of the OBZH and a block on the military operation in Ukraine in history lessons.

The document was signed by Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov. The order is dated November 23 of the current year, and registered on December 22.

Adopted in September 2022 lawwhich introduces unified general education programs in Russian schools “as a mandatory basic level of requirements for the content of general education.”

According to the innovations, students of the 10th and 11th grades will learn how to handle a Kalashnikov assault rifle and provide first aid, as well as study the principles of operation of the F-1 and RGD-5 grenades.

As part of the “History of Russia” course, students will study the geopolitical crisis of 2022, including the events in Ukraine. The requirements for the objective results of mastering the basic course of history should reflect an understanding of the “importance of Russia in world political and socio-economic processes”, knowledge of “the achievements of the country and its people”, etc.

According to the law, the state order for the development of textbooks and teaching aids will be carried out by the Ministry of Education. The Office will also approve the authors of the textbooks. Exclusive rights to them will belong to Russia.

Russian schools must switch to the implementation of unified educational programs by September 1, 2023.
