The Ministry of Defense published an infographic on the movement of biomaterials from Ukrainian laboratories. According to the agency, 16,000 biological samples were taken out of them.
The Ministry of Defense reports that in a number of cities – Kharkov, Odessa, Kyiv, Lvov – blood samples were taken from the military for antibodies to hantaviruses. According to the ministry, this was done to select biological agents that are most dangerous for the population of certain regions.
The department also claims that the samples were exported abroad, in particular to the Center for Public Health Research. Lugar in Tbilisi, the Loeffler Institute in Germany and laboratories in the UK.
