The German military department has halved the list of export weapons for Ukraine, which was prepared by representatives of the country’s military-industrial complex. Bild reports.
In particular, all types of heavy weapons have disappeared from the list of weapons for Ukraine. Such changes were made at the initiative of Olaf Scholz’s office. At the same time, companies in the defense segment of Germany have previously expressed their readiness and desire to supply Ukraine with many types of weapons specified in the document.
The list, which was previously transferred to Berlin by Ukraine, was eventually reduced from 48 to 24 pages. Instead of 15 types of weapons indicated by Ukraine, Germany left only three positions. The document also indicates alternatives to these three positions.
The German authorities do not seek to transfer a large number of weapons to Ukraine, as they fear that the Bundeswehr itself will be left without weapons. Previously, Berlin has already announced that. that the country’s possibilities in terms of transferring weapons to Ukraine are practically exhausted.
