In the vicinity of Mariupol, 93 militants of Ukrainian nationalist formations were liquidated by the Russian military, who deserted from their positions in civilian clothes. This was announced by the head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.
The general noted that regarding 150-200 militants deserted from Mariupol, dressed in civilian clothes. On the night of March 18, 93 of them were destroyed, the locations of others have already been established using radio bearings. In the near future they will be destroyed, said General Mizintsev.
According to the general, the militants moved in scattered groups along country roads. They followed in the direction of the Zaporozhye region.
Mizintsev also noted that the nationalists in Mariupol are in despair from hopelessness. Therefore, one can only guess regarding the further steps of the militants. It is not excluded that they will commit yet another crime once morest civilians, and the victims will be attributed to the Russian armed forces.
