The Minister of National Education has good news for those involved in previous strikes.

The Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, brought good news to those involved in previous strikes. After issuing his directives to cancel deductions from the salaries of employees, especially teaching staff who stopped working en masse, in order to complete clearing the air and establish a healthy and stable social climate that helps achieve the comprehensive mobilization of all educational and administrative staff and social partners in the reform dynamic.
In this context, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Younes Sahmi, wrote to the Director of Employee Expenses at the General Treasury of the Kingdom, regarding the cancellation of deductions from employees’ salaries due to mass work stoppages.

The correspondence, a copy of which was received by Agadir 24, included a number of directives from Minister Benmoussa, “in order to consolidate the positive atmosphere established by the outcomes of the sectoral social dialogue embodied in the agreements of December 10 and 26, 2023, which culminated in the adoption of the basic system for employees of the Ministry of National Education and was crowned by a comprehensive mobilization of women and men in education that allowed the 2024/2023 school year to end in very positive conditions.”

Through this measure, the Ministry seeks to “strengthen the level of trust with the various actors in the educational system as well as with the social partners of this Ministry within the framework of the outstretched hand approach adopted by the Ministry as a basic option in addressing the issues of the education and training family throughout the course of the sectoral social dialogue.”

Benmoussa asked the Director of Employee Expenses at the Kingdom’s General Treasury to “give his instructions to the relevant departments under his supervision, in order to work on cancelling all deductions from employee salaries recorded in the information system that have not been implemented yet, and which are related to collective absences from work.”

The document confirmed that the interests of the Directorate of Human Resources and Staff Training of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports will remain at the disposal of the interests of the Directorate of Personnel Expenses, in order to provide it with the complete lists of employees concerned with the aforementioned deductions, as well as periods of absence from work.
