The Minister of Local Development announces the implementation of the Public Shops Law next Sunday

Major General Hisham Amna Minister announced local development154 of 2019, following approving the general and special requirements, following publication in the Official Gazette next Sunday, December 11.

This came during a press conference by the Minister of Local Development, following the end of the meeting of the Higher Committee for Licensing Public Shops, headed by Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Amna revealed during the press conference that, during the last period, the classifications of public shops had been completed and approved by the Prime Minister, which amounted to 316 activities, in addition to preparing and organizing general and special requirements that must be met in public shops, with a digital code for each classification according to For the nature of the activity listed in the classification tables and defining the categories of inspection fees and licenses stipulated in this law, in addition to preparing the various forms for licensing applications, and determining the data that the forms and licensing must include and make them available to the governorates, stressing that the conditions, rules and procedures for issuing licenses for accreditation offices and the controls for their practice of their work and their approval have been established by a decision from the commission.

An inventory of the actual existing shops, whether licensed or unlicensed, the numbers of workers employed in them, and a map of the licensing centers to be established nationwide were prepared in coordination with the governorates and city agencies affiliated to the New Urban Communities Authority, where coordination took place with the Ministries of Finance and Communications and planning to design an electronic system to provide Submit licensing applications through the Internet and to link the Higher Committee for Licensing with all licensing centers nationwide.
