THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE, ABDELLATIF OUAHBI, ON TOUR OF THE GULF COUNTRIES

Justice Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi met in Abu Dhabi with his Emirati counterpart Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al-Nuaimi.

A press release from the Ministry of Justice indicates that this meeting was an opportunity for Mr. Ouahbi to review the axes of the comprehensive and profound reform that the judicial system is undergoing, which represents a strategic project for the Kingdom of Morocco, and to highlight the important steps that have been taken in terms of judicial reform, in terms of laws and legislation in place, court infrastructure and digitization, among others.

This meeting was also the ideal opportunity to discuss the important reforms and developments experienced by the United Arab Emirates in the field of justice.

In this regard, the two parties agreed to pursue their cooperation in order to promote and develop bilateral relations in the judicial field and also focused on all the opportunities to be seized to strengthen its mechanisms in the service of common interests.

This cooperation draws its strength from the strong fraternal ties uniting His Majesty King Mohammed VI and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al Nahyan, reflected in the continuous development of exchanges between the two countries at all levels, political, economic, media, scientific, tourism, security, cultural and judicial.

In addition, the two parties expressed their desire to raise judicial cooperation to the highest level, in particular through the deepening of the dialogue between Moroccan and Emirati experts, the concretization of this cooperation through various agreements relating to commercial areas , civil and civil status, and the exchange of experiences in terms of digitization, court infrastructure as well as in the pursuit of the implementation of common agreements, in the service of justice and his noble mission.

This meeting is part of a series of visits by the Minister of Justice to eight Arab countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Egypt.
