The Minister of Health: Financial incentives for the mother who gives birth to her child naturally

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, said that some doctors and families prefer to perform a caesarean section for women.

The Minister of Health and Population added, during a telephone interview with the media, Ahmed Moussa, on the “On My Responsibility” program broadcast on Sada Al-Balad channel, that financial incentives are provided to women in natural childbirth.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed that there is a danger to the mother and fetus in the event of a caesarean section, but the mother’s desire is respected, pointing out that Egypt has become the first in the world in cases of caesarean section.

The Minister of Health and Population added that the state is working to educate citizens regarding the dangers of caesarean sections, to protect the health of women and the health of their children, explaining that the caesarean section affects the development of the fetus.
