The Minister of Economy on the wheat crisis: We are waiting for the Banque du Liban to disburse the necessary funds

The media office of the Minister of Economy and Trade issued the following statement:
We are waiting for the Banque du Liban to disburse the necessary funds to support wheat to meet the market’s need and to continue securing the loaf for the Lebanese.
For this purpose, we have made the necessary contacts with Prime Minister Najib Mikati and the Governor, in order to expedite the necessary mechanism to support existing quantities and introduce new shipments. We hope that it will be achieved tomorrow morning, Tuesday, in order to preserve food security for the Lebanese people.
