The Midfield Terminal (Terminal A) at the Abu Dhabi International Airport will be operational in November, officials have announced. Terminal A will be the largest terminal in the world with an area of 7.42 lakh square meters, according to Abu Dhabi Airports. It can accommodate 4.5 crore passengers a year. It has the capacity to process 11,000 people per hour and operate 79 flights.
Even before the construction was completed, it had won an international award in design. Another attraction is the glass roof to maximize natural light.
