The Miami Heat broke an NBA record that must please Erik Spoelstra

The coaches appreciate that their players make free throws. Yeah, well, OK, it sounds great written like that but you have to understand that it’s one of the simplest shots in basketball, because it’s not contested, and it’s an effective and… simple, once more, to make a difference in a meeting. By not wasting the easy points (except for those who have flippers instead of hands). Erik Spoelstra can therefore be proud of his players following the performance of the Miami Heat last night. Floridians have converted all their attempts on the restorative line! 40 out of 40 ! This is a new NBA record.

The previous record dates back to 1982 – and yes, still! – with a 39 out of 39 achieved by the Utah Jazz at the time. Jimmy Butler scored 23 shots on his own (in 23 attempts therefore, you have to follow huh) including the one for the win following getting the fault in addition to his decisive basket. The Heat, led in money time, ended up narrowly winning once morest the Oklahoma City Thunder (112-111). And this is where throws matter.

The Thunder, who only shot 21 in passing, missed 7. It only took two more to win. It is quickly said but the calculations are formal. Hats off to the Miami players for the record, not sure this one will fall any time soon.
