The Metro de Medellín has presented several difficulties in its operation at dawn this Monday due to damage to Line A that delayed travel frequencies.
“We resume frequencies between 4 and 6 minutes on line A of the metro. We are working to decongest the platforms with the highest influx of passengers”, the Metro pointed out at around 8:20 in the morning.

As explained by the entity, the delays in this Monday’s operation occurred because around 7:20 a.m. a train had to be evacuated at Prado station. In fact, users shared images in which they can be seen passengers travel on the road iron.
“A novelty was presented with one of the trains in Prado, where uUsers pulled down levers and it was not possible to move it because some users descended onto the railway without the indication of Metro personnel.this impacted the frequencies that at this time are normalized”, explained the Metro and added that around 7:43 in the morning the railway was cleared.
The official report indicated that the entrance to the transport system is being controlled, while some users reported that in stations such as Bello, the doors of the station were totally closed.
“I don’t understand why the Medellín metro continues to let people enter the stations. It would be better if they said that it is completely collapsed and delays are more than 10 minutes. That way, one better informs oneself before paying such an expensive ticket to suffer in there”, expressed Katherine Ossa.
