In its issue issued this morning, the Official Gazette published the Medicines Authority’s decision No. 55 of 2022 to add 18 pharmaceutical groups and their derivatives, analogues, esters, ethers, analogues salts, esters and preparations, wherever they are found, to the second section of Table No. 1 attached to the Law on Combating Drugs and Regulating their Use and Trafficking.
These groups included fentanyl, alpha-methylfentanyl, para-fluorofentanyl, beta-hydroxyfentanyl, beta-hydroxy-3-fentanyl, 3-methylfentanyl, para-fluorobutyryl fentanyl, orthofluorfentanil, methoxyacetylfentanyl, cyclopropylfentanyl, oracar, Furanylfentanyl, Acryloylfentanyl, 4-fluoroisobutyric fentanyl, Tetrahydrofuranylfentanyl, Crotonylfentanyl, Valerylfentanyl.
The Medicines Authority said that the substances mentioned in Article No. 1 of its items in the second section of Schedule No. 1 are transferred to the group in the second section of Schedule No. 1 because they are considered derivatives of this group.
