The Media Sponsorship Fund announces tenders in 2025. for project financing | Culture

The fund will provide support for the projects, activities and scholarships of public information producers and/or disseminators in four programs: Cultural media and culture periodicals; Regional media; News, investigative and educational journalism; Media in the languages ​​of national minorities of the Lithuanian emigrant (diaspora) media.

Tenders are held from 2024. October 15 until 2024 November 13 24.00 hours Applications submitted after the deadline specified in the call will not be considered.

Applications for 2025 are being submitted in electronic formwhich can be found on the Foundation’s website.

Applications received on time and meeting the requirements of administrative compliance will be evaluated by experts, and the Fund Council, taking into account the experts’ conclusions, will make a decision on the allocation of funding.

As announced by the Fund, applicants applying for funding should note that the applications must reflect the requirements set out in the rules for submitting projects financed by the Fund and the conditions of financing.

The Foundation draws attention to the essential changes/innovations of the 2025 competition rules:

  • lower requirements for the projects of public information producers and/or disseminators who have started their activities in all programs (the requirement to carry out activities for 2 or more years does not apply; the circulation and audience must be reached in the second half of the second year of activity);
  • reduced requirements in all programs (number of employees, performance period, circulation, audience);
  • information is prepared and published only in Lithuanian;
  • financing of the activities of national minorities;
  • restriction of participation of politicians in the activities of the producer and/or broadcaster of public information;
  • the number of submitted applications in one competition is determined.

The Foundation invites media representatives to actively participate in remote consultations about the rules for submitting funded projects, their changes/innovations, and technical aspects of submitting applications.
