The community of El Carmen de Viboral is experiencing hours of shock and indignation after learning of the release of the man accused of brutally murdering the dog Kira. Despite having been caught red-handed for this atrocious act, the aggressor was released while investigations continue.
As you may remember, last Saturday, October 19, in the middle of a heated neighborhood dispute, Santiago Forero attacked Kira, his neighbor’s pet, with a knife. The dog, loyal to her owner, tried to defend him, but the aggressor, blinded by anger, stabbed her to death.
The judicial decision to release the alleged murderer has generated deep unrest among citizens, who demand an urgent review of the case and an exemplary punishment for the person responsible.
