A man surnamed Chen was driving a small truck to carry fish, but he dumped hundreds of white-haired fish heads beside a river embankment in Taiping District, Taichung City. After the case was inquired, it was transferred to the Environmental Protection Bureau for punishment according to the violation of the Waste Disposal Act. According to the law, a fine of NT$1,200 to NT$6,000 can be imposed.

The Taiping Branch of the Taichung City Government Police Department told reporters today that the Toubian Police Station received a report from the public on the 14th that hundreds of white hairtail heads were thrown away by unknown people next to the embankment walkway on Xincheng Road, Taiping District, and the stench was emitted. The police arrived at the scene and found it. , Immediately notify the Taichung City Government Environmental Protection Bureau to assist in the removal to avoid environmental pollution.

After the police searched the nearby monitors to filter out suspicious vehicles, they found a blue truck carrying fish passing by. Chen Nan, a 49-year-old driver of the pickup truck, was notified by the police and arrived at the case at 1:00 p.m. on the 17th. He said that when he was looking for friends in Taiping District that afternoon, he abandoned the fish head by the river bank because he was greedy for a moment.

Because Chen Nan’s behavior has violated Article 27 of the Waste Disposal Act, he can be fined NT$1,200 to NT$6,000 according to the law.
