The Presidium of the Government Majority met in a special meeting on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, and issued a comprehensive statement on a number of issues.

The Presidency of the Government Majority held its regular meeting, headed by Aziz Akhannouch, Chairman of the National Rally of Independents Party, Fatima Zahraa Al-Mansouri, Coordinator of the Collective Leadership of the General Secretariat of the Contemporary Authenticity Party, and Nizar Baraka, Secretary-General of the Istiqlal Party, and in the presence of Rachid Talbi Alami and Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd, on Wednesday 05 Rabi’ al-Thani 1446, corresponding to October 9, 2024, in Rabat.
The meeting was devoted to discussing developments related to the political, economic and social situation in our country, in addition to some international issues, as well as studying mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the government and all components of the majority, with the aim of raising the challenges and succeeding in winning the various future stakes that await our country.
After a serious, objective and deep discussion, characterized by the spirit of shared political responsibility, and the evocation of various internal challenges, with what this requires of continuing the path of structural reforms in our country and consolidating the foundations of the social state, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the presidency of the government majority affirms the the following:
First: Renewing our sympathy for the soul of His Majesty the late Hassan II, may God have mercy on him, on the occasion of the twenty-sixth anniversary of his passing, which coincides with the 9th of the month of Rabi’ al-Thani, asking the Almighty to make him dwell in his spacious paradise, and to rain down his mercy and forgiveness on his pure soul, and to preserve his heir. His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, is pleased. May God grant him victory, direct his steps and make victory and empowerment his ally in the service of his country and its people.
Second: It expresses its rejection of the recent decision of the European Court of Justice regarding the agricultural and fishing agreements concluded between Morocco and the European Union, especially since its content lacked insight, neutrality, and legal awareness. It was again expressed that the issue of our territorial integrity falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the United Nations and the Security Council.
It also affirms that Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern provinces does not accept any blackmail or bargaining, and supports the Moroccan state’s firm position not to abide by any agreement or legal document that does not respect its territorial and national integrity. It also renewed its expression of its permanent mobilization behind His Majesty the King, may God protect him, and the continuation of comprehensive mobilization and strengthening of the internal front, and constant vigilance, to defend the Moroccan Sahara and refute the misleading theses of the enemies of our territorial and national unity.
Third: It strongly condemns the war waged by Israel against the Palestinian people, which has claimed the lives of thousands of Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and tens of thousands of wounded, in addition to the policy of mass displacement and the great devastation caused by this war at all levels. It calls for an immediate halt to this war, a return to negotiations, and paving the way for diplomatic mechanisms to stop the bloodbath and violence in the region.
It also affirms that the only way to guarantee peace, security and stability in the region will only be achieved within the framework of a two-state solution, in which Gaza is an integral part of the territory of an independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
It strongly condemns the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, expresses its absolute solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people and their government, and calls on the international community to intervene urgently in order to stop the attacks of the Israeli war machine, and protect civilians and the unity and sovereignty of Lebanon over its territory.
Fourth: We appreciate the appreciated efforts made by the government with the necessary speed and seriousness, whether in implementing the contents of its program and public policies, or within the framework of efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with the various shocks and natural disasters that our country has experienced, in implementation of the High Royal Directives, including in particular the repercussions of the Al Haouz earthquake, as well as The recent floods that occurred in the southeastern regions of our country, where 2.7 billion dirhams were allocated and an integrated program was launched to rehabilitate the areas affected by the floods and provide financial support to the owners of affected homes.
Fifth: While the majority praises the government’s strong involvement in implementing the state’s social workshops in the areas of universal health coverage, housing and health, it emphasizes the government’s continuous endeavor to build a quality public school and improve it so that it is attractive and a source of future competencies in order to achieve the function of a social elevator for Moroccan children. By adopting structural reforms in the education sector, as one of the approaches to strengthening the social pillars of the state. In addition to its continued interest in restoring the reputation of the teaching staff, which is reflected in the outcomes of the social dialogue related to women and men in education.
It also notes the success of school entry for this season, which begins with a new philosophy of implementing the state’s social workshops, by providing additional direct financial support to families, to help them purchase books and school supplies, in implementation of the High Royal Instructions, a support that is in addition to the direct financial compensation from which millions benefit. Schooled children.
Sixth: It expresses its awareness and awareness of the problem of inflation in our country during the past two years, and the continued rise in the prices of some materials, which is inflation resulting mainly from external factors, as the government faced this situation willingly through many practical measures, whether those related to providing direct financial support to families or Intervention to support some materials and services, such as transportation, or by working to ensure the stability of the prices of some materials, such as water and electricity…
The majority Presidency emphasizes the continuation of government work to improve social and material conditions, improve incomes, pay attention to the situation of the middle class, and continue working to achieve spatial equity and advance fragile and poor areas. It also announced the commencement of the employment file and placed it at the top of the list of priorities for the next stage.
Seventh: It praises the cohesion of the majority components and the consistency of their positions towards all issues, which has been reflected positively on the government’s management, as the government has, since its inauguration, smoothly implemented all its obligations included in the government program on the one hand, and on the other hand is keen on rapid and positive interaction with all… Emergency problems, in full respect of the financial engineering established by the government with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of financing social projects.
Eighth: The government majority, while conjuring up the major stakes of the current political entry, renews its full involvement, and mobilizes all its components to continue its efforts in enriching the public debate that embraces the nation’s issues, champions the public interest, and seeks to produce solutions, with the high level of objectivity, impartiality, and faith that the matter requires. With a culture of difference, conviction and practice.
Ninth: It revives the roles of the opposition within Parliament, whether at the level of contribution to public debate or legislation or at the level of the oversight function, in a way that strengthens the political roles of Parliament as an institution incubating democratic debate in our country.
