OTook part in this meeting of the presidency of the majority coalition, provided for by the majority charter and held at the central headquarters of the Istiqlal Party, the president of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), Aziz Akhannouch, and the general secretaries of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), Abdellatif Ouahbi, and of the Istiqlal Party (PI), Nizar Baraka.
In a statement to the press, Akhannouch indicated that this meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the performance of the Executive during this year, marked by a difficult international situation in addition to the scarcity of rainfall and “the constraints that we have faced as well as the solutions that have been brought to it”.
Similarly, “we talked regarding the prospects of the PLF 2023, a PLF with a social vocation including various measures relating in particular to education, health, social protection, AMO and direct support for citizens at the end of 2023”.
According to the leader of the government majority and head of government, this meeting also made it possible to look into “the relations of local authorities with citizens and the constraints they face in their work and action”.
On his side, Ouahbi underlined in a similar declaration that the leaders of the majority agreed on an upcoming meeting between all the parliamentarians of the majority and a meeting of the political offices of the three parties of the majority.
The Secretary General of PAM and Minister of Justice added that the majority also agreed on the implementation of a vision for the coordination of action at the level of the regions and provinces of the Kingdom. For his part, Baraka affirmed that the majority is mobilized for the realization of the governmental program, to promote the investment and to face the problem of water stress and to protect the citizens from the repercussions of the vagaries of the international situation in order to improve their living conditions.
And the Secretary General of the Istiqlal Party and Minister of Equipment and Water to reaffirm the will of the majority to carry out the major structural reforms relating in particular to retirement, health, education, access to water and housing, while guaranteeing greater spatial scope for the various policies pursued by the Executive through increased coordination with the provinces, regions and municipalities in order to better pass on the results of the efforts of the government to citizens and promote their situation.
This meeting was marked by the presence of the presidents of the majority groups in Parliament and various personalities from the parties of the government coalition.
