The main specifications of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro + have been revealed

As the day goes by, the Oppo Reno 8 series leaks intensify. Just yesterday, we heard regarding the Oppo Reno 8 SE. So far, we have heard regarding the Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 SE. Now, it looks like there’s at least one more device in the lineup. Unlike the Oppo Reno 7 series, it appears that the new lineup will bring the Pro Plus variant, which is the Oppo Reno 8 Pro +. The new phone just got some of its key specs revealed by popular mentor maker Mukul Sharma. According to him, the device will not be a competitor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 / Dimensity 9000 range, but it will still be. Considered A step above the lineup.

Alleged specifications of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro +

According to the post, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus 5G phone is coming along with other devices. It will have a 6.7-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone will also bring a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX SoC. These specs are suspiciously familiar with the OnePlus 10R which has gone official in China as the OnePlus Ace. I hope this isn’t a simple rebranding. In fact, it appears that the MariSilicon X NPU dedicated to Oppo will be on board. At least, the camera’s performance will be different thanks to the NPU.

When it comes to the camera department, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ will pack a 32MP selfie camera. Moving to the back, the device will bring a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera. There will also be an 8-megapixel setup triple camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device draws its power from a 4500 mAh battery. On top of that, there will be 80W fast charging to make moving the battery from flat to 100 a breeze. Other specs include dual stereo speakers and NFC. As usual, the device will not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ will also come with an aluminum frame and we expect the usual glass sandwich design. The device will be rather thin with a slim profile of 7.34mm and a weight of only 183 grams. There will be at least three colors – grey, black and green. It’s clear that Oppo will use some fancy names for each color.

We expect more details to come out soon. At the moment, there is no specific timeline for the release of these smartphones. We can expect them to appear in early June or even in July. This is the usual spot for the first annual release of the Oppo Reno series. By the end of the year, we will likely see the Oppo Reno 9 series in China.
