A special mention goes to filmmaker Luna Carmoon’s feature film debut The Hoarders.

Directed by Hugh and DK Welchman, The Villagers won two awards and was named the most liked feature film of the festival.

The jury of “Kino pavasaryje” accredited journalists and film critics chose this film as the best Lithuanian premiere at the festival. The audiovisual works copyright association “AVAKA” awarded its creators an award and 3 thousand. euro prize.

33 feature, documentary, animated and experimental works from all over Europe competed in the short film competition.

The winner was “Disappointment” by director Gleb Osatinski.

According to the jury, this film was appreciated for its cinematography, strong atmosphere, skillfully conveying life in Ukraine in the 1990s and depicting the inner turmoil and catastrophe of the main character fighting once morest a violent environment. The film was awarded 3 thousand. euro prize.

Director Leila Basma was also honored with a special mention for her film “Sea Salt”.

Eglė Davidaviče’s work “The One Who Knows” was declared the best Lithuanian short film of the festival. 2 thousand is allocated to him. euro prize.

The 29th “Cinema Spring” took place in the cinemas of Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and other big cities.
