Air defenses on the evening of July 11 and during the night of July 12 shot down 5 of 5 enemy cruise missiles and 11 enemy drones.
About this on the morning of Friday, July 12, reported Commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykola Oleschuk.
He explained that on the evening of July 11, the occupiers attacked from strategic aircraft with five air-based cruise missiles of the Kh-101 type (launched from the Saratov region – RF), and during the night – with 19 attack UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type » and drones of an unknown type from Primorsko-Akhtarsk districts, Kursk region.
“The main direction of the attack is Starokostyantyniv. Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and electronic warfare units were involved in repelling the enemy’s air attack,” Oleschuk said.
As a result of anti-aircraft combat, missiles were shot down in Khmelnytskyi, Sumy and Cherkasy regions.
Also, air defense shot down 11 “shaheeds” and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type in the Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kherson and Sumy regions.
