The mad run of luggage lost by an airline

While her airline assured her that her suitcase was in its distribution center, a traveler instead followed her to several businesses.

Valerie Szybala, a woman from Washington DC, shared her misadventure on social media.

The way his suitcase was lost and found and the way the airline, United Airlines, handled his file make you want to never check in checked baggage once more.

The woman and her luggage were scheduled to arrive at Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington DC on December 28, according to CNN.

Before leaving for a month-long international trip, Valerie Szybala bought an Airtag, Apple’s tracking device, since she had heard several stories regarding lost suitcases.

Since she had a layover and was flying with two different companies, the woman expected her suitcase to be misplaced.

So that’s what happened. When he arrived at Washington airport on December 28, there was no trace of his luggage.

Unable to reach the airline following hours of waiting on the phone and online, the woman resigned herself to following her suitcase using her Airtag.

“On Friday the 30th at 8 p.m. he stopped moving in an apartment building a few miles from me,” reports CNN.

She figured her luggage would be delivered the next day, but, surprised, he went to a McDonald’s restaurant instead.

Then, “in a shopping center in the suburbs, twice”.

Even the day she finally got her suitcase back, she saw her going to a mall.

“Every time he would go back to the building followingwards,” she said, according to CNN.

As she tracked her luggage, the airline assured her that it was in its distribution center.

Tired of persisting with the airline, Valerie Szybala finally went to the building where “her Airtag was.

If her suitcase was not there, she still discovered other empty suitcases near a trash can.

That’s when she decided to share her story on Twitter.

His suitcase was eventually returned to him by a delivery service.
