As a reminder, the new machine takes up the angular design of the modern 14/16-inch MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad, with a thickness of 11.3 millimeters and a weight of approximately 1.24 kg (2.7 pounds). The MacBook Air M2 has a MagSafe Gen3 port, a 3.5 mm mini jack audio port (with better management of high impedance headphones), two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports (like the previous generation but one of the two was used for charging), a new 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with a maximum brightness of 500 nits (more than many monitors on the market proudly displaying HDR compatibility), and a notch hiding a new 1080p webcam (as on the 14 and 16 inch MacBook Pro).

The MacBook Air features a set of three new microphones with beamforming and a four-speaker system for even better sound reproduction. The MacBook Air M2 is said to be 20% faster than the previous generation while maintaining a fanless system (fanless) guaranteeing a cathedral silence as well as an autonomy of 18 hours in video playback (like the previous generation).

In terms of power adapters, the entry-level comes with a 30W model and the 8/512 GB version with the new 35W model with 2 USB-C ports (fast charging offering 50% battery in 30 minutes requires the 67W model available free of charge as an option). Prices start at 1499 euros on the Apple Store (1849 euros for the version with 10 GPU cores and 512 GB of SSD storage) and 4 colors are offered, Silver, Space Gray, Stellar Light, and Midnight Blue.
