The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the body responsible for implementing infrastructure projects to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, has announced the organization of a new tournament between the Egyptian League champion and the Saudi League champion.
The committee revealed, in a statement, that the new tournament will be held at Lusail Stadium between the Saudi league champion, Al Hilal, and the Egyptian league champion, which has not yet been determined, which is the host stadium for the next World Cup final.
The statement added that the tournament came under the name of the Lusail Super Cup, and it will be held on September 9.
The committee confirmed that Lusail Stadium, the largest stadium in the World Cup, with a capacity of more than 80,000 fans, will host this match, to be followed by a concert.
The committee concluded that tickets for the match will be released later.
