The Lukaku-Lautaro duo meet at Inter Milan, which largely dominates La Spezia (3-0)

The first quarter of an hour brings nothing out of the ordinary. La Spezia took two pressure shots from Inter who clearly dominated the Aquilotti camp.

As half an hour of play approaches, La Spezia blows a little following small heat strokes. Despite the omnipresence of the Nerazzurri, neither team has been really worried so far. Inter are installed in attack but the defense of the Aquilotti has resources.

Logically it was Inter who opened the scoring in the 37th minute. Stretcher plays on Lukaku and the Belgian puts the ball back to Martinez through a head. The Argentinian, launched, resumes with a half-volley from the left, precise and powerful. Dragowski doesn’t have enough range and lets the ball break through his wall. This is the first goal of the season for Lautaro Martinez. Last season he scored 21 goals in 35 Serie A appearances.

Just two minutes from the end of the first period, the pressing continues once more and once more, Lukaku receives a long ball, he tries to put it with his head but the leather arrives on the crossbar of the La Spezia goalkeeper who does not move.

The first half is like the score, logical but not particularly impressive. Inter Milan dominates, the Lukaku-Martinez duo works but the Nerazzurri still lack a bit of efficiency.

Five minutes following the start of the second half, Calhanoglu widens the gap for the Nerazzurri from the entrance to the penalty area thanks to Lukaku’s game. It is also his first goal this season.

Half an hour before the final whistle, possession and chances are on Milan’s side. Inter are at fifteen shots, including six on target, once morest zero for La Spezia.

Lukaku comes out in the 68th minute and for the last twenty minutes, the locals make sure not to reduce the gap formed by their efforts at the start of the match but the rhythm gradually drops and the visitors seem tired. A reversal of the trend is unlikely given the technical and tactical differences between the two Italian teams.

Joaquin Correa drives the point home with less than ten minutes to go. On a decisive pass fromEdin Dzekoreplacing Lukaku.

At the end of this match, Inter Milan temporarily dominates the classification of the Italian championship.
