The retreat of the Ukrainian security forces from their positions in the area of Severodonetsk deep into the city was reported on Saturday by the People’s Militia of the LPR.
They told journalists that “as a result of successful offensive actions of the People’s Militia”, the militants of the Ukrainian military formations “are retreating to the residential area of Severodonetsk.”
They also noted that scouts from the NM LPR are checking the forests adjacent to Severodonetsk “for the presence of fortified areas of Ukrainian troops, as well as for the presence of possible ways for Ukrainian saboteurs to penetrate into the rear of the LPR army.”
Thus, the department noted, the intelligence units “fix” the “strategic presence of the People’s Militia units” in the Severodonetsk region.
Three days ago, it was reported that the allied forces of the NM of the LPR and the RF Armed Forces took Severodonetsk “into an operational encirclement.”
On May 26, the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, said that 95% of the territory of the republic is under the control of the People’s Militia.
