[골프한국 강명주 기자] For four days from the 9th (Korean time), the second week of the LPGA’s ‘Q-Series’ is in progress at Highland Oaks Golf Club (par 72) in Doseon, Alabama, USA.

Yoo Hae-ran, the representative runner of the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour, reduced 6 strokes in the 7th round of the tournament held on the 11th to become the sole leader (total 25 under par).

In an interview following the game, Yoo Hae-ran said, “Honestly, I wanted to do well when I came to the Q-series. I was a little greedy when I started today, and I was able to play rounds without bogey. I got a little tired towards the second half, so I missed a few birdie opportunities.”

Next, Yoo Hae-ran said, “Today’s highlight would be the last birdie I caught on the 16th hole. It was the most memorable birdie. It was a game that got a little boring as we went into the second half, but that birdie allowed me to finish well until the end.” he further explained.

When asked, “How would you feel if you received an LPGA Tour card?” Yoo Hae-Ran, who placed first with one round left, said, “Korean golf is very strong and my seniors have done very well on the LPGA Tour. The LPGA Tour card means that I am one step closer to my dream. ” he replied.

Many Korean players have made great strides on the LPGA Tour. In response to the question, ‘Which player did you look at while playing golf? I have seen all the Korean players who have played on the LPGA Tour since then.”
