“We still find a lot of activity on the sea”: this is how Paolo Sottocorona began to spread the latest weather forecast. At the root of this statement is “the usual problem of the temperature of the Mediterranean”. This factor is linked to “thunderstorms over the Strait of Sicily“. Over the rest of the Peninsula the sky is clear. It should be underlined, however, that “this situation causes the formation of low pressure”. What does it entail? “It’s not complicated: colder,” anticipated the expert.
Today we are starting to record the presence of internal phenomena on the sea and on land. The rains will be “weaker” in the South, in the Center “only a few traces” and in the North “some clouds”. What should we expect from tomorrow? Sottocorona was frank: “This activity is intensifying. Many of these phenomena are on the sea, but Sardinia, Sicily and Calabria have very intense phenomena”, he specified.
“Weaker and even absent”, however, on the rest of the peninsula. An exception was made for the North-West, where “they are starting to show up”. Then on Wednesday, “everything seems to reduce towards the South”, continued the meteorologist. “Everything seems to be going downhill,” he reiterated. As regards minimum temperatures, he concluded, “the values are low”.

**Interview with Paolo Sottocorona: Weather Trends and Temperature Changes in Italy**
**Editor:** Today, we’re joined by renowned meteorologist Paolo Sottocorona to discuss the latest weather forecast and the implications of warming in the Mediterranean. Thank you for being here, Paolo.
**Paolo Sottocorona:** Thank you for having me!
**Editor:** You recently mentioned a lot of activity on the sea related to Mediterranean temperatures. Can you elaborate on what that entails?
**Paolo Sottocorona:** Absolutely. We are observing substantial temperature variations in the Mediterranean, which are causing numerous weather phenomena, especially thunderstorms over the Strait of Sicily. This is significant because it influences weather patterns across the entire region.
**Editor:** Interesting. You’ve also indicated that these conditions are leading to low pressure systems. How does this connect to what we can expect in terms of weather?
**Paolo Sottocorona:** Yes, that’s correct. The formation of low pressure is a direct result of the temperature disparity. When there are significant changes, it tends to lead to cooler weather overall. So, as a result, we should brace for colder conditions across Italy in the coming days.
**Editor:** Colder temperatures across the Peninsula can certainly impact daily life. What should people keep in mind as this change takes place?
**Paolo Sottocorona:** Well, it’s essential to stay informed about the weather, especially as transitions occur. Many areas will see a drop in temperatures, so I recommend that people dress accordingly and remain aware of potential weather warnings.
**Editor:** Thank you for the valuable insights, Paolo. Any final thoughts for our viewers?
**Paolo Sottocorona:** Just to remember that while weather patterns can be unpredictable, understanding the trends helps us prepare better. Stay safe and stay warm!
**Editor:** Thank you again, Paolo, for sharing your expertise. We appreciate your time!
