Director Peter Jackson is expected to take on a consulting role on the “Lord of the Rings” series currently in the works at Amazon.
Last June, the information was quite contradictory concerning the involvement of Peter Jackson on the Lord of the Rings series in preparation at Amazon. At our microphone, he declared not to be involved, but indicated in parallel at IGN’s German site set up a creative team for the show, before his agent finally comes to affirm to Digital Spy that he was, for the time being, not part of the adventure. But today, the New Zealand filmmaker is taking a step towards a return to Middle-earth…

Peter Jackson should not play the leading roles on the series The Lord of the Rings, but rather hold a function of consultant. “I can’t tell you what I think of the series because I haven’t seen anything yet”he says at the microphone of the Metro site. “I think they will send us some scripts to see if we can help them. I wish them the best, if we can help them, we will probably try. It’s a huge job.”
