The Fellowship of the Ring is broadcast tonight on France 3, the opportunity to focus on a small detail of the film that you may have missed!
Released in 2001, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring triumphed worldwide, quickly becoming cult for an entire generation. The trilogy is an epic fresco concealing some crisp little details, like the one that will interest us here.
Director Peter Jackson, this little prankster, had fun pointing the tip of his nose in each episode of his trilogy. If you’ve been paying attention, you might have seen it in The Fellowship of the Ring! The shot is very brief but you can easily recognize the filmmaker if you freeze the frame.
The latter portrays a sinister-looking man holding a carrot. Our Hobbit friends meet him when they arrive at the Inn of the Dashing Pony, in the heart of the town of Bree.
Peter Jackson then makes a cameo in The Two Towers; he plays a soldier fighting at Helm’s Deep.
Finally, in The Return of the King, he is one of the pirates who came to lend a hand to Sauron and who will be routed by Aragorn.
