German developer Daedalic Entertainment has announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, originally scheduled to be released on September 1, has been postponed, and the new release date has not yet been determined.
“The Lord of the Rings: Gollum” is a stealth action game in which players take on the role of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, chasing their “baby” and deciding whether to let Gollum’s dark side win, or whether he was Smeagol and stayed behind A touch of sanity. These choices will affect Gollum’s personality and the direction of the story.
Officials say the delay is to meet player expectations for the game and to fulfill Tolkien’s vision for The Lord of the Rings. “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum” will be delayed for several months, and a new release date will be announced following a while.
“The Lord of the Rings: Gollum” is expected to be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam).
