The long-awaited Joker 2: Madness for Two

When in 2019 Todd Phillips His Joker adaptation was presented in the Venice International Film Festivalon, it was obvious from the first moment that this was much more than just another comic adaptation. Phillips turned the Joker into a flesh-and-blood figure, and the Gotham City he created is reminiscent of the New York of the 1980s. Before the presentation, several people frowned upon hearing what a comic book hero was looking for in the festival’s competition program, but the Joker not only convinced the doubters, but also won the festival’s main prize, and ended its triumphant journey starting in Venice with two Oscars.

After this, it’s no wonder that one of the most anticipated films of the 81st Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica was Joker 2. Two-man madness. The anticipation was only heightened by the fact that the festival also presented the sequel as part of the competition program. Alberto Barberathe festival’s artistic director, justified the decision by saying that it was the most daring studio film he had ever seen. THE Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga a work with the main character, although it differs from the first part in many ways, it is a worthy continuation of the story of Arthur Fleck, aka Joker.

He couldn’t get into a car

Lady Gaga already impressed the Lido di Venezia audience a few years ago when she accompanied Csillag to Venice. Many fans have been waiting for the singer/actress since early morning, but the real frenzy broke out when, to the surprise of photographers and fans, it turned out that Gaga was walking from the Excelsior Hotel to the Sala Grande.
