On Wednesday, the Health Commission will conclude with the debates concerning the compulsory vaccination of Belgians. A question which, for most of the speakers, should have been debated well before in Parliament but which took time to arrive in the hemicycle.
After asking the question to the five group leaders of the French-speaking parties in the Chamber (PS, MR, Ecolo, CDH and PTB), we can tell you that vaccination is not regarding to be made compulsory with us. Above all, answer our interlocutors, when we see the current situation with Omicron which has completely changed the situation.
We took the opportunity to ask them if the compulsory vaccination of health care personnel, dear to Minister Frank Vandenbroucke, was also going to fall by the wayside. It seems to be heading for a first-class burial anyway. Ditto for the famous Covid Safe Ticket which has certainly convinced a lot of people to finally get vaccinated.
