The Philippine media “ABS-CBN” reported that the Civil Aviation Administration of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed that the 6-seater Cessna 340 (Cessna340) aircraft numbered RP-C2080 departed from Albay Province ( Albay) took off from Bicol International Airport in Daraga, and lost contact with the control tower three minutes following takeoff. It has been 7 hours since the disappearance. The death of the four people on board is unknown.

CAAP issued a memorandum stating that the plane was originally scheduled to land in Manila (Manila) at 7:53 am today (18th), but lost contact with the tower three minutes following takeoff. The air traffic system of the nearby tower conducted a communication search for the plane. But also got no response. The pilot, co-pilot, and 2 passengers were on board. The plane is currently in Distress Phase. The Philippine Air Force, Coast Guard, Office of Civil Defense, National Disaster Risk Management Committee and the Civil Aviation Administration have launched a search.

The Manila Times reported that this was the second missing Cessna this year; on January 24, a plane carrying 6 people flew from Cauayan Airport to McConnacorn The number RP-C1174 Cessna 206 aircraft at Maconacon Airport was also missing. Although the authorities dispatched an emergency search, the vegetation and weather in the mountains made the search difficult; the Philippine Air Rescue Coordination Center (PARCC) released an investigation report on the 14th , which means that following 21 days of search and rescue operations, the flight is still missing.
