Former Liverpool player Luis Garcia has advised Jurgen Klopp to dispense with the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in the main list, noting that the player needs to rest during the current season.
Salah scored only two goals this season with Liverpool, but he is no longer the same as it was in previous seasons, as his danger decreased, and some linked that because of his signing the new contract with Liverpool last July, according to which he remains at “Anfield” until 2025.
Garcia, the 2005 Champions League winner with Liverpool, told ESPN on Sunday evening: Mohamed Salah knows more than anyone that he is not at his best this season, does not exceed the players, does not exist in the box and plays far from the goal, he remains in The farthest point on the edge of the goal in contrast to the areas near it, where it appears dangerous.
Garcia believes that Klopp made a mistake by not withdrawing Salah from the stadium of the last match between Naples and Liverpool in the Champions League, and he continued: Salah was supposed to rest once morest Napoli, but he played 60 minutes.
He continued: It is important for Salah to understand the difficulty of playing 63 or 70 matches per season, as he did previously. He must rest and Klopp keep him on the bench. The season is long and there is a World Cup, and some players will need to rest.
Mohamed Salah and fellow striker Luis Diaz will not participate in the 2022 World Cup finals, which will be held next November, due to the failure of the Egyptian and Colombian teams to qualify for the tournament.
