He is barely five years old, he is the youngest driver in Chile who accelerates in the ATV category, behind the wheel of his quad bike, he does not give in to anyone and he is already making history.
Marcelo Olguín Suart, from Team ATR Quads, supported by MDR of Chillán, confessed that in every race he accelerates fully and without fear, because his passion for enduro motocross has no limits.
“I work and train to be world and Dakar champion,” says the restless Marcelito, who always competes accompanied by his parents and grandparents, who follow him everywhere.
The weekend roared in the largest race in Chile: the ATV-Enduro MXe Big Trail that brought together more than 30 categories in competition in Pelluhue.
Olguín won first place in the Children’s ATV category, enduro and rally mode, up to 10 years old, with a time of 16:45.310, after seven laps of the sandy circuit. Further back were Máximo Jara, Bastián Manzano and Tomás Sáez.
This victory consolidates his candidacy for the title since last year he was already national champion in the children’s rally series ATV Chile.
After accelerating with everything to get on the podium in Pelluhue, Olguín is preparing to compete in the Argentine World Cup, which will be held on February 23, 24 and 25.
At the moment, he is the only Chilean registered in the international race where he hopes to continue getting applause, “accelerating with everything and without fear.”
