Compared with last year’s reliability score, this year’s overall score has regressed, and it has dropped significantly since the third place. Last year’s 10th place reliability score was still 60 points, but this year it has dropped to 54 points. The key is that there are many car manufacturers this year. Power and multimedia systems have been updated one following another, and it is easy to reduce reliability due to minor problems in the early stage.
Toyota and Lexus topped this year’s Consumer Reports reliability survey with a score of 72.
The best performers this year are Toyota and Lexus, both scoring 72 points to take the top spot. Among them, the reliability level of all Lexus models is above the average level of all car manufacturers, and the off-road travel GX is the most reliable. Vehicles such as Toyota’s new RAV4 Prime and Harrier also have good reliability.
Although BMW ranks third, its reliability rating is 65 points, which is significantly different from the top two.
In addition, in terms of car types, sedans, hatchbacks, and sports cars have significantly higher reliability scores, followed by SUVs, which currently occupy the majority of the market, and MPVs, which have recently attracted more attention, and finally pickup trucks.
