The European Medicines Agency (EMA) on Thursday listed new side effects to the anti-Covid vaccines Novavax, Moderna and AstraZeneca. For the first, it is for example anaphylaxis (allergic reaction) and a decrease in skin sensitivity.

Regarding this swelling, the EMA does not specify whether it is a frequent side effect or not. However, she specifies that no treatment is necessary and that the swelling disappears spontaneously after a few days. The Moderna vaccine was widely used in the Belgian vaccination campaign.
The vaccine developed by Novavax can cause loss of skin sensitivity or an unpleasant sensation of irritation, stinging or burning at the injection site. The agency recommends not administering a second dose of Nuvaxovid serum to people who have reacted violently to a first injection. This information caused the fall of more than 20% of Novavax shares on the Wall Street stock exchange.
For AstraZeneca, tinnitus has been included in the list of side effects mentioned in the vaccine leaflet. These ringing and ringing sounds occurred in less than 1% of people vaccinated with Vaxzevria. Skin discomfort similar to that seen with the Novavax vaccine has also been seen in less than 1 in 100 vaccinees.
