The XV Women’s Hockey World Cup Tarrasa-Amsterdam 2022 entered its final stage. After the victory of the Dutch over Belgium by 2 to 1 and that of Germany by the minimum once morest New Zealand, the third semi-finalist country of the tournament was known. in the ETarrasa Olympic Stadium, The lioness they defeated 1-0 England with goal of Victoria Granatto in the last quarter.

The match started with a lot of pace and Argentina concentrated on recovering quickly in the England half of the pitch. Nevertheless, some inaccuracies complicated the final stretch of goal plays and zero did not move in the first quarter. Those led by Fernando Ferrara came out with the conviction of winning the match from the start but the rival defense remained very orderly at the level that did not grant any penalty corner, one of the specialties of Las Leonas.

During the second chapter, the Europeans further solidified their position: they raised the solidity in their goal and bet on quick counterattacks to bother Belén Succi’s goal. The goalkeepers had zero work during the initial half and wear began to be an issue to consider in the following quarters. The 0-0 is a result according to the situations in Tarrasa and the passage to the semifinals felt in the air for any of the two countries.

The third segment of the tight duel had Las Leonas looking for individuals to overflow and center the ball in the heart of the England area. With little success in the final meters, the referees had more work to do and showed two green cards: Hannah Martin on the English side and Jimena Cedres of the albicelestes. Single Victoria Granatto managed to bother the goalkeeper Maddie Hinch who cleared a dangerous attack with his foot. All matched as from the first second, in the last chapter the key to break the equality may appear.

Indeed, it was on the first play of the last quarter that Argentina opened the scoring: Rocío Sánchez dangerously approached the European goal and, with a great cross, Victoria Granatto took advantage of the opportunity to stamp the much sought following 1-0. Few minutes later, Agustina Albertario got the first penalty corner for Las Leonas but once more the England defense rejected the danger.

The drama began to appear in Spain and a green card for Giselle Ansley it seemed that the Albiceleste would begin his dominance in the duel. But the effect was just the opposite. Belén Succi had to bring out all her talent to clear a pass that looked like a tie. The goalkeeper from Argentina reappeared on the scene and she dressed as a savior by saving a short corner that was aimed at her right post.

To close the day, an overflow from England and a great pass left the lead under the Argentine goal but Succi covered once once more a very important play. A review by the referees in the assembly of the final play raised the suspense on the court but finally nothing happened and Las Leonas are in the semifinals of the Hockey World Cup.
