The life’s work was destroyed by the flames: Now the married couple behind the laundromat are reporting

It was a violent fire that spread at Kruse Vask on Monday evening. Several meter high flames engulfed more and more of the laundry, while owners Sarah and Martin Kruse saw their family’s life’s work go up in smoke.

But now, two days later, there is news regarding Kruse Vask.

In a press release, the Kruse family says that the laundry will start work once more on Thursday. It does so in collaboration with the company Elis, located in Aalborg.

– Starting tomorrow, February 29, 2024, all our customers can calmly expect the usual contact and delivery from Kruse Vask, as we and our own employees can resume our deliveries, writes Kruse Vask in the press release.

– We do everything to secure as many jobs as possible through a collaboration with ELIS.

Deeply affected

It has been two hard days for the Kruse family, but the support from the customers has touched them deeply and given them the fighting spirit to get through the tragedy.

The plans for Kruse Vask are for the laundry to re-open at the same address in Veddum as before. Here, Kruse Vask was founded back in 1962 – and here it will also be rebuilt.

– The plan is that Kruse Vask must and will pass. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who is close to us – customers, suppliers, employees, business partners, networks and family friends. Without you, we were just an extinguished fire.
